What’s That Word? - Text Completion Activity

1. Hand out the activity sheet.
2. Listen to the song.
3. Students fill in the gaps in the lyrics with the words they hear.
4. Wander amongst the students to check their progress, point out incorrect words if you notice them.
5. Repeat steps b. – d. several times, until the majority of the students have filled in most of the gaps.
6. Go through the answers; you read the lyrics and get the students to tell you the words that go in the gaps.
7. Listen to the song one more time while the students read their corrected handouts, so that the students can hear the words they missed or got wrong.
