Intermediate Level Skills

For students with intermediate level skills I would suggest the following plan:

Activity	Timing	Additional Notes
The Story Behind The Song – Reading Activity	Before class	Give the students the handout to read before class.
Between The Lines – Listening Comprehension Quiz	10 – 15 minutes	Play the song 3 times
What’s That Word – Text Completion Activity	10 – 15 minutes	Play the song 3-4 more times. Keep an eye on the students pages, once most of them have filled in the majority of the gaps it is time to move on to the answers.
Lyrics and Sense – Vocabulary Activity	5 – 10 minutes	Intermediate Level students will probably already know the majority of the words in the song, but make sure you question them to find the ones that are new to them. These may or may not be the ones on the vocabulary sheet.
In My Opinion – Discussion Activity	10 – 15 minutes
Sing-A-Long With Me	5 minutes
