Hand out the discussion questions.

There are a number of ways you can facilitate
the discussion
time:
i.
Arrange the students in pairs or three’s, give
them five-ish minutes to discuss the questions, and then rotate students to new
groups and discuss again for another five-ish minutes. Finish by brining all
the groups together and comparing the answers different groups had for some of
the questions. You probably won’t have time to cover all of the questions. With
this method the teacher floats and joins different groups
ii.
The same as the first method but you don’t bring
all the groups together at the end, you have a third rotation instead.
iii.
Open group discussion.
Each method
has pro’s and cons’. Choose the best method for your class.
